Knowing Edgar Allen Poe: Webquest !
Tell-Tale Heart Rotating Review Stations:
#1.Draw a picture of what you think the narrator looks like. Is the narrator a man or woman? Does the narrator look mad or not? Draw your picture in your English journal.
#2. In your English journal, write down 2 or more examples where Poe uses the passage of time (where time passes quickly or slowly) to build suspense in, “The Tell-Tale Heart.”
#3. Poe uses noises to create a scary mood in “The Tell-Tale Heart.” In your journal, list as many examples of “noises” used in the story. Write down the page number where you found each noise.
#4. In your journal, draw a line graph of the tension in the story, “The Tell-Tale Heart.” Label the x-axis (horizontal) with at least 3 events of the story from beginning to end. Label the y-axis (vertical) with levels of tension (high, medium, or low). Plot the level of tension for each event.
